Caring tips

Put freesias in clean water - they are very sensitive to dehydration.
Add cut flower food to the water if they are going to stand for more than a day; this will also make the smaller buds open up.
Freesias soon cease blossoming in hot weather - so if this is the case, don't take too much out of the cooling at a time.
Keep the ethylene sensitive freesias far away from ripening fruit, vegetables and exhaust fumes.
The last buds on the comb are sometimes empty; they become brown after a few days.
Removing these buds increases the ornamental value and is good for the continued flowering of the other buds.

First allow the flowers to suck up plenty of clean water without taking them out of the original packaging.
Cut about 3 cm from the stems.
Use clean water with cut flowers food for bulb and root crops.
